The first image shows the subject close to the frame of the image. This means that the
subject dose not sit on a line of the third, which means the image can look un balanced. I think
it also makes it difficult for the viewer to put the subject in context as you can not see much space around it on the left of the frame.
The second image shows the subject in the centre of the frame. I think the image is being split in half by the signpost. You feel like you want to look around the post, which is difficult to do as it is seems very vertical in this image, where other shots it actually is seems to slant.
The final image, which is my preferred image shows the signpost slightly off centre. I think it balances the image as the top of the post falls on a line of the third, which draws in the eye. It also means that there is space around the subject so your eye can read the scene better and put the subject in context with its surroundings.
I think this image could be improved by cropping the image so the butterfly is placed less central to the photograph
A single tree, which has been taken in context to the surrounding area( due to the colour tones)
the eye of this tree stump is placed on a line of the third, which improves this
composition
An example of placing the focal point of an image on the upper half of the frame. The flower stamen is actually placed on the point where two " thirds" lines meet. Improving the balance of the composition.
an example of the main subject being to the right of the central point.

LINE OF A THIRD/BALANCE NEEDS TO BE CONSIDERED WHEN COMPOSING AN IMAGE WHEN PHOTOGRAPHIC POINTS WITHIN A SCENE
