WORKFLOW

There are a lot more process involved in taking an image digitally
than there was in Film photography.

The process of digitally image needs to be taken in a series
of steps that ideally need to be in an ordered sequence.
The process and steps can be set out be personal choice

Digital equipment and processing software need to be
taken into consideration when embarking on taking
a digital image.

A IDEAL DIGITAL WORKFLOW SEQUENCE

*ensuring all equipment needed on location is correctly
checked and tested. Planning the equipment required
do you need filters, additional external flash, light meters
reflectors, tripods etc. Do you have sufficient power and
enough free memory space for the shot.

* Camera set up. How are capturing the image RAW?
jpeg adjusted?
What is the quality of light what white balance do you need
to capture the correct quality of the white light

*Plan sequence of shots and undertake that shooting
session

* upload images from memory card onto hard drive
for editing and storage.

*Check images for technical quality short and
delete those which are incorrect

*Order and name stored images for future ref and
editing purposes.

*edit the technical correct images

* process and editing in photographic
software package of choice

* caption key word  the saved image

* archive image into a separate safe location

* print or upload to preferred web site
