HUE

Objective- to experiment with changes to Hue/ colour balance settings in photoshop

The original image was shot in raw

Original untouched image ( raw)

This image has been coloured balanced to daylight conditions

The below image has been balanced to tungsten lighting conditions ( red)

The below image has been colour balanced to Fluorescent lighting conditions ( blue/green)

The final image shows no hue but just tones of grey.

The following set of images have been taken by changing the white balance in the camera and using
the colours creatively

This abstract image is of a roof panel in Tarragona ( Spain)

The first image was taken with the white balance set for tungsten lighting.

Tungsten is a hot ( red) light so the camera has to cool the light so adds a blue filter to
image.

In film photography you will shot the image with a 80a ( blue) filter

The second image was taken with the white balance pre set to the available lighting
conditions. As this image was taken close to dusk.

The final image shows the same setting a few minutes before dusk so the blue hue tones
have intensified under the reduced levels of light.

The next set set of images were taken under the same lighting conditions
but the white balance was changed in the camera

Light clear but cloudy sky

The first image is the when white balance was set to automatic

The second was pre set to the lighting conditions. As the light was very blue and overcast
the camera has compensated by added more warm tones to the image to balance out the blue

This image was taken set for florescent light, which to the camera is very green.

The final image was pre set to flash, which to the camera is very cold blue light
so it has compensated by adding in warm filter.

LEARNING NOTES/COMMENTS- look at pre setting the white balance
 to the available lighting conditions
